Siber Imaging is a multi-disciplinary neurophysiology practice training the brains of clients with neurological disorders including chronic fatigue syndrome, myalgic encephalomyelitis, fibromyalgia, attention deficit disorder, adult attention deficit disorder, sleeping disorders, closed head injury, and many others.
The clinic was founded by Dr. Myra Prestonand by Kim Phillips, an executive specializing in business development. Dr. Preston is a Licensed and Board Certified Diplomate in Neurotherapy. Siber Imaging has been working with CFIDS/ME/FM clients utilizing qEEG (brain mapping) and neurofeedback since 1990. In the early stages of the company’s existence, Dr. Preston and Kim Phillips designed research studies, which have been presented at national and international symposiums by Dr. Paul Cheney, Dr. Charles Lapp and Dr. Ian Hyams, all three of whom are renowned chronic fatigue syndrome, myalgic encephalomyelitis, and fibromyalgia clinicians. After carefully evaluating many clients utilizing qEEG (brain mapping) and their individual responses to neurotherapy, the company applied for a patent. In December of 1993, the company was awarded U.S. Patent No. 5,267,570: “METHOD OF DIAGNOSING AND TREATING CHRONIC FATIGUE SYNDROME.”
Siber Imaging has worked with more CFIDS/ME/FM clients than any other neurotherapy clinic in the world. Using client specific training protocols based on its patented approach,Siber Imaging has helped clients successfully address their symptoms, allowing them to enjoy an improved quality of life. Many have been able to return to school or work on a part or full-time basis. Also, many clients have been able to significantly reduce or discontinue medications. qEEG (brain mapping) has also been useful for many clients in their pursuit of disability benefits.

Frank H. Duffy, M.D., a professor and pediatric neurologist at Harvard Medical School stated in an editorial in the January 2000 issue of the journal Clinical Electroencephalography that scholarly literature now suggest that neurofeedback “should play a major role in many difficult areas. In my opinion, if any medication had demonstrated such a wide spectrum of efficacy it would be universally accepted and widely used: (p.v). “It is a field to be taken seriously by all” (p.vii).
There is much literature to back the efficacy of this process. As an example, The American Academy of Pediatrics reached the conclusion is October 2012 that EEG Biofeedback (aka Neurofeedback) is a Level 1 (best support) Evidence-Based Practice for the Attention and Hyperactivity and other recent evidence of the efficacy of Neurofeedback for ADHD.
